Battery Passport Data Checker
Check whether your current battery records cover a practical starter set of model, individual-battery, supply-chain and lifecycle information.
Battery data score
Select the information you already maintain.
Why prepare now?
From 18 February 2027, LMT batteries, EV batteries and industrial batteries above 2 kWh must have a battery passport. The passport includes model-level and individual-battery information with different access levels.
How the battery data score works
The tool counts 13 practical data areas and converts the completed items into a readiness percentage. It is designed to reveal operational gaps before teams begin software integration or label production.
Data areas covered
Identity
Model, individual battery, manufacturer and manufacturing information.
Technical & supply chain
Chemistry, capacity, materials, environmental and responsible-sourcing evidence.
Lifecycle & delivery
State-of-health information, conformity records, data carrier, hosting and update ownership.
How to use a low score
Do not start by buying a platform. First identify which data does not exist, which team owns it, which supplier must provide it and how it will be versioned. This usually reduces later implementation cost.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Battery Passport Data Checker measure?
It measures whether you already maintain a practical starter set of model, individual-battery, supply-chain, conformity, lifecycle and data-carrier information.
Is the checklist identical to Annex XIII?
No. It is a simplified readiness checklist designed to expose operational gaps. Companies should review Article 77, Annex XIII and relevant implementing rules for exact obligations.
Why include an update owner?
Battery passport information can include data that changes over the battery lifecycle, so organisations need clear responsibility for maintaining current information.
